Jordan Learning Tour March 2020
Do you work with, or volunteer with refugees from the Middle East? If so, Bridges for Communities would like to invite you to join us on a trip to Jordan!
The aim of the trip is to experience the Middle East first hand – the people, the culture, and the language – in order to help us better understand the lives and journeys of the refugees we are working with and how that impacts their expectations and experiences of life in the UK.
The dates of the trip are Saturday 21st March – Saturday 28th March 2020.
The trip will include:
• Meetings with leaders of refugee organisations and visits to refugee communities in Jordan – specifically UNHCR centres / refugee camp
• Meetings with local people to experience their culture and lives
• Arabic culture & language sessions
• Sightseeing - Petra, Dead Sea, Mount Nebo and the sights of the old city in Amman including amphitheatre and citadel. (Option to stay longer and visit Wadi Rum / Aqaba).
• Lots of Middle Eastern food!
The cost of the trip is £650 plus flights, visa and travel insurance.
The £650 includes hotel accommodation for 7 nights, breakfast, lunch and dinner, transport and entrance fees. Flights and Jordan pass visa are to be booked individually once your application has been accepted. Spending money and travel to and from Heathrow not included.
